Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20443
It is narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked in the court of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "O Messenger of Allah, which person is the best?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "The one who lives long and whose deeds are good." The questioner asked, "Who is the worst person?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "The one who lives long and whose deeds are evil."

حضرت ابوبکرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک آدمی نے بارگاہ رسالت میں عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ کون سا انسان سب سے بہتر ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا جس کی عمر لمبی ہو اور عمل اچھا ہو سائل نے پوچھا کہ سب سے بدترین انسان کون ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا جس کی عمر لمبی ہو اور اس کا عمل برا ہو۔
Hazrat Abu Bakr RA se marvi hai ki aik aadmi ne bargah risalat mein arz kiya Ya Rasul Allah kon sa insan sab se behtar hai Nabi SAW ne farmaya jis ki umar lambi ho aur amal acha ho sail ne poocha ki sab se badtareen insan kon hai Nabi SAW ne farmaya jis ki umar lambi ho aur us ka amal bura ho.
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَيُّ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ؟ قَالَ: " مَنْ طَالَ عُمْرُهُ وَحَسُنَ عَمَلُهُ"، قَالَ: فَأَيُّ النَّاسِ شَرٌّ؟ قَالَ:" مَنْ طَالَ عُمْرُهُ وَسَاءَ عَمَلُهُ" ..
