The Hadith of Jabir ibn Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20887

And I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying that Allah, the Exalted, has named Madinah as "Taybah".


Grade: Sahih

اور میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ مدینہ منورہ کا نام اللہ تعالیٰ نے طابہ رکھا ہے۔

Aur maine Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ki Madina Munawwara ka naam Allah Ta'ala ne Tayba rakha hai.

قَالَ: وَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:" إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمَّى الْمَدِينَةَ طَابَةَ" .
