Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20905
It is narrated on the authority of Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying on the occasion of Hajj-e-Wida (Farewell Pilgrimage), "This religion will always prevail over its opponents. No opponent or deserter will be able to harm it until twelve Caliphs have passed away among my Ummah." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said something that I could not understand. I asked my father what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had said. He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had said, "All of them will be from Quraysh."

حضرت جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو حجۃ الوداع کے موقع پر یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ یہ دین ہمیشہ اپنے مخالفین پر غالب رہے گا اسے کوئی مخالفت کرنے والا یا مفارقت کرنے والا نقصان نہ پہنچا سکے گا یہاں تک کہ میری امت میں بارہ خلیفہ گزر جائیں گے پھر نبی ﷺ نے کچھ کہا جو میں سمجھ نہیں سکا میں نے اپنے والد سے پوچھا کہ نبی ﷺ نے کیا فرمایا ہے انہوں نے کہا کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا ہے وہ سب کے سب قریش سے ہونگے۔
Hazrat Jabir bin Samrah razi Allah anhu se marvi hai keh maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko Hajjat ul Wida ke mauqe par ye farmate huye suna hai keh ye deen hamesha apne mukhalifeen par ghalib rahe ga ise koi mukhalafat karne wala ya mufarqat karne wala nuqsan na pahuncha sake ga yahan tak keh meri ummat mein barah khalifa guzar jayenge phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kuch kaha jo mein samajh nahi saka maine apne walid se pucha keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kya farmaya hai unhon ne kaha keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya hai woh sab ke sab Quraish se honge.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْبَزَّارُ الْمُقْرِئُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ: خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَفَةَ، فَقَالَ: " لَنْ يَزَالَ هَذَا الدِّينُ عَزِيزًا مَنِيعًا ظَاهِرًا عَلَى مَنْ نَاوَأَهُ، لَا يَضُرُّهُ مَنْ فَارَقَهُ أَوْ خَالَفَهُ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ، كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ" ، أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ.
