Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21054
Haritha reported: We visited Khabab ibn al-Aratt while he was sick. He said, "If I had not heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying that none of you should wish for death, I would have certainly wished for it." Khabab ibn al-Aratt, one of the participants in the Battle of Badr, reported: Once, at night, I was waiting for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. When the Prophet started praying, he continued praying the whole night until the time of Fajr (dawn prayer). He then finished his prayer and Khabab came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, may my parents be sacrificed for you. Tonight you prayed such a prayer that..." Then, the narrator mentioned the complete Hadith.

حارثہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم لوگ حضرت خباب رضی اللہ عنہ کی بیمار پرسی کے لئے حاضر ہوئے تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ اگر میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے نہ سنا ہوتا کہ تم میں سے کوئی شخص موت کی تمنا نہ کرے تو میں ضرور اس کی تمنا کرلیتا۔ حضرت خباب رضی اللہ عنہ جو غزوہ بدر کے شرکاء میں سے ہیں کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ رات کے وقت میں نبی ﷺ کا انتظار کررہا تھا نبی ﷺ نے نماز شروع کی تو ساری رات پڑھتے رہے حتی کہ فجر کا وقت ہوا تو اپنی نماز سے سلام پھیرا اس کے بعد خباب رضی اللہ عنہ نبی ﷺ کے پاس آئے اور عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ میرے ماں باپ آپ پر قربان ہوں آج رات تو آپ نے ایسی نماز پڑھی ہے کہ۔۔۔۔۔۔ پھر راوی نے پوری حدیث ذکر کی۔
Harisa kahte hain ke hum log Hazrat Khubab razi Allah anhu ki bemar pursi ke liye hazir hue to unhon ne farmaya ke agar main ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate hue na suna hota ke tum mein se koi shakhs maut ki tamanna na kare to main zaroor iski tamanna karleta. Hazrat Khubab razi Allah anhu jo ghazwa Badr ke shurkaa mein se hain kahte hain ke ek martaba raat ke waqt mein Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka intezar kar raha tha Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne namaz shuru ki to sari raat padhte rahe hatta ke fajar ka waqt hua to apni namaz se salam phera uske bad Khubab razi Allah anhu Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass aaye aur arz kiya ya Rasulullah mere maan baap aap par qurban hon aaj raat to aap ne aisi namaz padhi hai ke phir ravi ne puri hadees zikar ki.
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ ، قَالَ: أَتَيْنَا خَبَّابًا نَعُودُهُ، فَقَالَ: لَوْلَا أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " لَا يَتَمَنَّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ الْمَوْتَ"، لَتَمَنَّيْتُهُ ..
