Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21060
Abu Umar said that we asked Khabab (may Allah be pleased with him) whether the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would recite in the noon prayer. He said yes. We asked how you knew. He said: By the movement of the blessed beard of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

ابومعمر کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے حضرت خباب رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا کیا نبی ﷺ نماز ظہر میں قرأت کرتے تھے انہوں نے کہا ہاں۔ ہم نے پوچھا کہ آپ کو کیسے پتا چلا انہوں نے فرمایا نبی ﷺ کی ڈارھی مبارک ہلنے کی وجہ سے۔
AbuUmar kehte hain ki hum ne Hazrat Khabbab (RA) se pucha kya Nabi (SAW) namaz Zuhar mein qirat karte thay, unhon ne kaha haan. Hum ne pucha ki aap ko kaise pata chala, unhon ne farmaya Nabi (SAW) ki dari Mubarak hilne ki waja se.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ ، قَالَ: قُلْنَا لِخَبَّابٍ : " بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كُنْتُمْ تَعْرِفُونَ قِرَاءَةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ؟ قَالَ: بِاضْطِرَابِ لِحْيَتِهِ" .
