Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21611
Ibn Dilami (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Once I went to visit Abi bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "O Abu Al-Mundhir, some doubts have arisen in my heart regarding predestination. Would you please narrate to me a hadith, by the blessing of which, these doubts may be removed from my heart?" He replied, "If Allah were to punish all those in the heavens and the earth, He would not be oppressing them. And if He were to have mercy upon them, that mercy would be greater than their deeds. And if you were to spend gold equivalent to Mount Uhud in the way of Allah, Allah would not accept it from you until you believe firmly in predestination and have faith that what has befallen you could not have missed you, and what has missed you could not have befallen you. If you die upon other than this belief, you will enter Hellfire."

ابن دیلمی رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے ملاقات کے لئے گیا اور عرض کیا کہ اے ابوالمنذر؟ میرے دل میں تقدیر کے متعلق کچھ وسوسے پیدار ہے ہیں آپ مجھے کوئی ایسی حدیث سنائیے جس کی برکت سے میرے دل سے یہ وسوسے دور ہوجائیں انہوں نے فرمایا کہ اگر اللہ تعالیٰ تمام آسمان و زمین والوں کو عذاب میں مبتلا کردیں تو اللہ تعالیٰ پھر بھی ان پر ظلم کرنے والے نہیں ہوں گے اور اگر ان پر رحم کردیں تو یہ رحمت ان کے اعمال سے بڑھ کر ہوگی اور اگر تم اللہ کے راستہ میں احد پہاڑ کے برابر بھی سونا خرچ کردو گے تو اللہ تعالیٰ اسے اس وقت تک تمہاری طرف سے قبول نہیں فرمائے گا جب تک تم تقدیر پر کامل ایمان نہ لے آؤ اور یہ یقین نہ کرلو کہ تمہیں جو چیز پیش آئی ہے وہ تم سے چوک نہیں سکتی تھی اور جو چیز تم سے چوک گئی ہے وہ تم پر آ نہیں سکتی تھی، اگر تمہاری موت اس کے علاوہ کسی اور عقیدے پر ہوئی تو تم جہنم میں داخل ہوگے۔
Ibn Dailmi rehmatullahi alaih kahte hain ki ek martaba main Hazrat Ubai bin Kaab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se mulaqat ke liye gaya aur arz kiya ke aye Abu al-Mundhir? Mere dil mein taqdeer ke mutalliq kuchh waswase paida hain, aap mujhe koi aisi hadees sunaaiye jis ki barkat se mere dil se ye waswase door ho jaayen. Unhon ne farmaya ki agar Allah taala tamam aasman o zameen walon ko azab mein مبتلا kar den to Allah taala phir bhi un par zulm karne wale nahin honge aur agar un par reham kar den to yah rehmat un ke aamaal se badh kar hogi aur agar tum Allah ke raaste mein Uhud pahad ke barabar bhi sona kharch kar do ge to Allah taala usay us waqt tak tumhari taraf se qubool nahin farmaye ga jab tak tum taqdeer par kamil eman na le aao aur yah yaqeen na kar lo ki tumhen jo cheez pesh aai hai woh tum se chook nahin sakti thi aur jo cheez tum se chook gayi hai woh tum par aa nahin sakti thi, agar tumhari maut iske alawa kisi aur aqeede par hui to tum jahannam mein داخل ho jaoge.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سِنَانٍ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحِمْصِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الدَّيْلَمِيِّ ، قَالَ: وَقَعَ فِي نَفْسِي شَيْءٌ مِنَ الْقَدَرِ، فَأَتَيْتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ فَسَأَلْتُهُ، فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: " لَوْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَذَّبَ أَهْلَ سَمَاوَاتِهِ وَأَهْلَ أَرْضِهِ، لَعَذَّبَهُمْ غَيْرَ ظَالِمٍ لَهُمْ، وَلَوْ رَحِمَهُمْ، كَانَتْ رَحْمَتُهُ لَهُمْ خَيْرًا مِنْ أَعْمَالِهِمْ، وَلَوْ كَانَ لَكَ جَبَلُ أُحُدٍ أَوْ مِثْلُ جَبَلِ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا، أَنْفَقْتَهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، مَا قَبِلَهُ اللَّهُ مِنْكَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنَ بِالْقَدَرِ، وَتَعْلَمَ أَنَّ مَا أَصَابَكَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُخْطِئَكَ، وَأَنَّ مَا أَخْطَأَكَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُصِيبَكَ، وَأَنَّكَ إِنْ مِتَّ عَلَى غَيْرِ هَذَا، دَخَلْتَ النَّارَ" .
