Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21633
It has been narrated on the authority of Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Marwan, "I see that you have offered the Maghrib prayer very briefly. By the Being in whose hand is my life, I have heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reciting Surah A'raf in the Maghrib prayer."

حضرت زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک مرتبہ مروان سے فرمایا میں دیکھ رہاہوں کہ تم نے مغرب کی نماز بہت ہی مختصر پڑھائی ہے، اس ذات کی قسم جس کے دست قدرت میں میری جان ہے میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو نماز مغرب میں سورت اعراف کی تلاوت کرتے ہوئے سنا ہے۔
Hazrat Zaid bin Sabit Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek martaba Marwan se farmaya main dekh raha hun ki tum ne Maghrib ki namaz bahut hi mukhtasar parhayi hai is zaat ki qasam jis ke dast qudrat mein meri jaan hai maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko namaz Maghrib mein Surah Aaraf ki tilawat karte huye suna hai.
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ : أَلَمْ أَرَكَ اللَّيْلَةَ خَفَّفْتَ الْقِرَاءَةَ فِي سَجْدَتَيْ الْمَغْرِبِ؟ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، إِنْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيَقْرَأُ فِيهِمَا بِطُولَى الطُّولَيَيْنِ" .
