Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 22051
It is narrated on the authority of Muadh (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Jihad is the pillar of Islam and the peak of its hump.

حضرت معاذ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا جہاد اسلام کا ستون اور اس کے کوہان کی بلندی ہے۔
Hazrat Muaz Razi Allah Anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya jihad Islam ka sutun aur is ke kohan ki bulandi hai.
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ , حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَيَّاشٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ , عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ , عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " ذُرْوَةُ سَنَامِ الْإِسْلَامِ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ" .
