The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2227
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed Tawaf (circumambulation of the Ka'bah) while riding on his camel and touched the Black Stone with a stick that he had. Then, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to the well of Zamzam. At that time, some members of the Prophet's tribe, Banu 'Abd al-Muttalib, were drawing water from it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Give me some water to drink." So, a bucket of water was presented to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), which he drank and then said, "If the people did not consider it a part of Hajj and overpower you, I would have also drawn water with you." Then, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went and performed Sa'i (walking between the hills of Safa and Marwah).

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے اپنے اونٹ پر سوار ہو کر طواف فرمایا اور حجر اسود کا استلام اس چھڑی سے کیا جو آپ ﷺ کے پاس تھی، پھر آپ ﷺ کنوئیں پر تشریف لائے، اس وقت نبی ﷺ کے بنو عم اس میں سے پانی نکال رہے تھے، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”مجھے پانی پلاؤ“، چنانچہ نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں پانی کا ڈول پیش کیا گیا جسے نبی ﷺ نے نوش کر کے فرمایا: ”اگر لوگ اسے بھی حج کا رکن نہ سمجھ لیتے اور تم پر غالب نہ آجاتے تو میں بھی تمہارے ساتھ ڈول بھر بھر کر پانی نکالتا“، پھر نبی ﷺ نے جا کر صفا و مروہ کے درمیان سعی کی۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apne unt par sawar ho kar tawaf farmaya aur Hajar Aswad ka istilaam us chhari se kiya jo Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass thi, phir Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kunwen par tashrif laaye, us waqt Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke Banu Um is mein se pani nikal rahe the, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Mujhe pani pilao”, chunanchi Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein pani ka dol pesh kiya gaya jise Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne nosh kar ke farmaya: “Agar log ise bhi Hajj ka rukn na samajh lete aur tum par ghalib na aa jate to main bhi tumhare sath dol bhar bhar kar pani nikalta”, phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ja kar Safa o Marwah ke darmiyan sa’ee ki.
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ بَابٍ أَبُو سَهْلٍ ، فِي شَوَّالٍ سَنَةَ إِحْدَى وَثَمَانِينَ وَمِائَةٍ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: طَافَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْبَيْتِ، وَجَعَلَ يَسْتَلِمُ الْحَجَرَ بِمِحْجَنِهِ، ثُمَّ أَتَى السِّقَايَةَ بَعْدَمَا فَرَغَ، وَبَنُو عَمِّهِ يَنْزِعُونَ مِنْهَا، فَقَالَ:" نَاوِلُونِي" , فَرُفِعَ لَهُ الدَّلْوُ فَشَرِبَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ:" لَوْلَا أَنَّ النَّاسَ يَتَّخِذُونَهُ نُسُكًا، وَيَغْلِبُونَكُمْ عَلَيْهِ، لَنَزَعْتُ مَعَكُم" , ثُمَّ خَرَجَ، فَطَافَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ.
