The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2248
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever seeks refuge in the name of Allah, grant him refuge, and whoever asks you by swearing by Allah, give him."
Grade: Hasan
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جو شخص اللہ کے نام سے پناہ مانگے، اسے پناہ دے دو اور جو شخص اللہ کی ذات کا واسطہ دے کر تم سے مانگے، اسے دے دو۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Jo shakhs Allah ke naam se panah maange, use panah de do aur jo shakhs Allah ki zaat ka wasta de kar tumse maange, use de do.“
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَهِيكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" مَنْ اسْتَعَاذَ بِاللَّهِ فَأَعِيذُوهُ، وَمَنْ سَأَلَكُمْ بِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ فَأَعْطُوهُ".
