Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 22590
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the year of Hudaibiya, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) set out for Umrah wearing the Ihram. I was also accompanying him, but I did not wear the Ihram on this journey, although my companions were wearing it. On the way, I saw a wild donkey. I attacked it myself and hunted it down. I submitted in the court of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that I have hunted a wild donkey and that I was not wearing the Ihram and that I have hunted this for you. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to the people, "Eat it," however, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not eat it himself because I had told him that I had hunted it for him.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ حدیبیہ کے سال نبی کریم ﷺ عمرہ کا احرام باندھ کر روانہ ہوئے میں بھی ہمراہ تھا لیکن اس سفر میں میں نے احرام نہیں باندھا تھا البتہ میرے ساتھیوں نے احرام باندھا ہوا تھا راستے میں مجھے ایک جنگلی گدھا نظر آیا میں نے خود ہی اس پر حملہ کیا اور اسے شکار کرلیا میں نے بارگاہ رسالت میں عرض کیا کہ میں نے ایک گورخر شکار کیا ہے اور یہ بھی کہ میں نے احرام نہیں باندھا تھا اور یہ کہ میں نے شکار آپ کے لئے کیا ہے نبی کریم ﷺ نے لوگوں سے فرمایا اسے کھاؤ جبکہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے اسے خود تناول نہیں فرمایا کیونکہ میں نے انہیں بتایا تھا کہ یہ شکار میں نے ان کے لئے کیا ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada raziallahu anhu se marvi hai ki Hudaibiya ke saal Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Umrah ka ehram bandh kar rawana hue main bhi humrah tha lekin is safar main main ne ehram nahi bandha tha albatta mere saathiyon ne ehram bandha hua tha raste main mujhe ek jungli gadha nazar aaya main ne khud hi is par hamla kya aur ise shikar kar liya main ne bargah risalat main arz kya ki main ne ek gorakhhar shikar kya hai aur ye bhi ki main ne ehram nahi bandha tha aur ye ki main ne shikar aap ke liye kya hai Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne logon se farmaya ise khao jabke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ise khud tanavul nahi farmaya kyunki main ne unhen bataya tha ki ye shikar main ne un ke liye kya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: خَرَجْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَمَنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ، فَأَحْرَمَ أَصْحَابِي وَلَمْ أُحْرِمْ، فَرَأَيْتُ حِمَارًا، فَحَمَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ، فَاصْطَدْتُهُ، فَذَكَرْتُ شَأْنَهُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَذَكَرْتُ أَنِّي لَمْ أَكُنْ أَحْرَمْتُ، وَأَنِّي إِنَّمَا اصْطَدْتُهُ لَكَ؟" فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَصْحَابَهُ فَأَكَلُوا، وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ حِينَ أَخْبَرْتُهُ أَنِّي اصْطَدْتُهُ لَهُ" .
