Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 22598
Abu Salama (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that "one of the Companions and horsemen of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)" said: It was narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "Good dreams are from Allah, and bad dreams are from Satan. So if anyone sees a dream that he dislikes, he should not tell anyone about it, rather he should spit dryly to his left three times and seek refuge with Allah from its evil, and it will not harm him."

ابو سلمہ رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ " جو نبی کریم ﷺ کے صحابی اور شہسوار تھے " نے فرمایا حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے اچھے خواب اللہ کی طرف سے ہوتے ہیں اور برے خواب شیطان کی طرف سے ہوتے ہیں اس لئے جو شخص کوئی ناپسندیدہ خواب دیکھے تو کسی کے سامنے اسے بیان نہ کرے بلکہ خواب دیکھ کر اپنی بائیں جانب تین مرتبہ تھتکار دے اور اس کے شر سے اللہ کی پناہ مانگے، اس طرح وہ خواب اسے کوئی نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکے گا۔
Abu Salma rehmat-ul-Allah kehte hain keh " jo Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sahabi aur shahsuwar thay " ne farmaya Hazrat Abu Qatada razi Allah anhu se marvi hai keh maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate hue suna hai achhe khwab Allah ki taraf se hote hain aur bure khwab shaitan ki taraf se hote hain is liye jo shakhs koi napasandida khwab dekhe to kisi ke samne use bayan na kare balkeh khwab dekh kar apni baen janib teen martaba thukar de aur uske shar se Allah ki panaah mange, is tarah woh khwab use koi nuqsan nahin pahuncha sake ga.
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا قَتَادَةَ كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَفُرْسَانِهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: " الرُّؤْيَا مِنَ اللَّهِ، وَالْحُلْمُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ، فَإِذَا حَلَمَ أَحَدُكُمْ الْحُلْمَ يَكْرَهُهُ، فَلْيَبْصُقْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ثَلَاثًا، وَلْيَسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنْهُ، فَلَنْ يَضُرَّهُ" .
