Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 22725
It is narrated on the authority of Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that people pledged allegiance to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the condition that they would listen to and obey him in all circumstances, whether in hardship or ease, in enthusiasm or reluctance. Furthermore, they pledged not to dispute with the rightful owner in any matter, to speak the truth wherever they may be, and not to fear the blame of the blamers in the matter of Allah.

حضرت عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ لوگوں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے ہر تنگی اور آسانی اور چستی و سستی ہر حال میں بات سننے اور ماننے کی شرط پر بیعت کی تھی نیز یہ کہ کسی معاملے میں اس کے حقدار سے جھگڑا نہیں کریں گے جہاں بھی ہوں گے حق بات کہیں گے اور اللہ کے معاملے میں کسی ملامت کرنے والے کی ملامت کی پرواہ نہیں کریں گے۔
Hazrat Ubadah raziallahu anhu se marvi hai ki logon ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se har tangi aur asani aur chusti o susti har haal mein baat sunne aur manne ki shart par bai'at ki thi neez yeh ki kisi mamle mein iske haqdaar se jhagda nahin karenge jahan bhi honge haq baat kahenge aur Allah ke mamle mein kisi malamat karne wale ki malamat ki parwah nahin karenge.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، قَالَ: " بَايَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ فِي الْعُسْرِ وَالْيُسْرِ، وَالْمَنْشَطِ وَالْمَكْرَهِ، وَأَنْ لَا نُنَازِعَ الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ، وَأَنْ نَقُولَ بِالْحَقِّ حَيْثُمَا كُنَّا، وَلَا نَخَافُ فِي اللَّهِ لَوْمَةَ لَائِمٍ" .
