Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 22763
It is narrated by Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about Laylat al-Qadr, so the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that it is in the month of Ramadan, look for it in the last ten days of Ramadan, it is in the odd nights of it, 21st, 23rd, 35th, 27th, 29th or the last night, and whoever gets to experience this night with the intention of faith and reward and he also gets this night, then all his previous and future sins are forgiven.

حضرت عبادہ بن صامت رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ انہوں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے شب قدر کے متعلق سوال کیا تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا وہ ماہ رمضان میں ہوتی ہے اسے ماہ رمضان کے آخری عشرے میں تلاش کرو کہ وہ اس کی طاق راتوں ٢١، ٢٣، ٣٥، ٢٧، ٢٩ ویں یا آخری رات میں ہوتی ہے اور جو شخص اس رات کو حاصل کرنے کے لئے ایمان اور ثواب کی نیت سے قیام کرے اور اسے یہ رات مل بھی جائے تو اس کے اگلے پچھلے سارے گناہ معاف ہوگئے۔
Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki unhon ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se Shab e Qadr ke mutalliq sawal kiya to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya woh mah e Ramzan mein hoti hai use mah e Ramzan ke aakhri ashray mein talash karo ki woh us ki taq raton 21, 23, 35, 27, 29 wein ya aakhri raat mein hoti hai aur jo shakhs is raat ko hasil karne ke liye imaan aur sawab ki niyat se qayam kare aur use ye raat mil bhi jaye to uske agle pichhle sare gunah maaf hogaye.
حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ، فَقَالَ: " هِيَ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ، فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ، فَإِنَّهَا وَتْرٌ لَيْلَةِ إِحْدَى وَعِشْرِينَ، أَوْ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ، أَوْ خَمْسٍ وَعِشْرِينَ، أَوْ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ، أَوْ آخِرِ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، مَنْ قَامَهَا احْتِسَابًا، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ" .
