Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 22774
Yahya bin Abi Kathir, may Allah have mercy on him, said that he learned that the number of Naqibs (leaders) was twelve, and they mentioned among them the name of Ubadah, may Allah be pleased with him.
یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے معلوم ہوا ہے نقباء کی تعداد بارہ ہے اور انہوں نے ان میں حضرت عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کا نام بھی بیان کیا۔
Yahya bin Abi Kathir RehmahuAllah kehte hain ke mujhe maloom huwa hai Nuqaba ki tadad barah hai aur unhon ne un mein Hazrat Ubadah RadiAllahuAnhu ka naam bhi bayan kiya.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، عَنْ حَرْبِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، يَقُولُ:" بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ النُّقَبَاءَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ، فَسَمَّى عُبَادَةَ فِيهِمْ" .
