Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 23213
It is narrated by a Sheikh from Banu Sulaym that once I went to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to discuss the matter of the prisoners who were taken captive during the pre-Islamic era. At that time, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was sitting while people had formed a circle around him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was wearing a thick lower garment and gesturing with his fingers. I heard him, peace and blessings be upon him, saying that a Muslim is a brother to another Muslim. He neither oppresses him nor leaves him helpless. Piety is here, piety is here, meaning in the heart.

بنوسلیط کے ایک شیخ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں اپنے ان قیدیوں کے متعلق گفتگو کرنے کے لئے حاضر ہوا جو زمانہ جاہلیت میں پکڑ لئے گئے تھے اس وقت نبی کریم ﷺ تشریف فرما تھے اور لوگوں نے حلقہ بنا کر آپ ﷺ کو گھیر رکھا تھا نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک موٹی تہبند باندھ رکھی تھی نبی کریم ﷺ اپنی انگلیوں سے اشارہ فرما رہے تھے میں نے آپ ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ مسلمان مسلمان کا بھائی ہوتا ہے وہ اس پر ظلم کرتا ہے اور نہ اسے بےیارو مددگار چھوڑتا ہے تقویٰ یہاں ہوتا ہے تقویٰ یہاں ہوتا ہے یعنی دل میں۔
Bnuslait ke aik sheikh se marvi hai ki aik martaba mein Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein apne un qaidion ke mutaliq guftagu karne ke liye hazir hua jo zamana jahiliyat mein pakde liye gaye thay us waqt Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) tashreef farma thay aur logon ne halqa bana kar aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko gher rakha tha Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne aik moti tehband bandh rakhi thi Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) apni ungliyon se ishara farma rahe thay mein ne aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ki Musalman Musalman ka bhai hota hai woh is par zulm karta hai aur na ise bayaro madadgar chhorta hai taqwa yahan hota hai taqwa yahan hota hai yani dil mein.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبارَكُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ ، أَنَّ شَيْخًا مِنْ بنِي سَلِيطٍ أَخْبرَهُ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُكَلِّمُهُ فِي شَيْءٍ أُصِيب لَنَا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، فَإِذَا هُوَ قَاعِدٌ، وَعَلَيْهِ حَلْقَةٌ قَدْ أَطَافَتْ بهِ، وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُ الْقَوْمَ، عَلَيْهِ إِزَارُ قُطْنٍ لَهُ غَلِيظٌ، فَأَوَّلُ شَيْءٍ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ يُشِيرُ بإِصْبعَيْهِ: " الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ، لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يَخْذُلُهُ، التَّقْوَى هَاهُنَا، التَّقْوَى هَاهُنَا" ، يَقُولُ: أَيْ فِي الْقَلْب.
