Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 23352
Thalabah ibn Zahdam narrated that once we were with Sa'eed bin 'Aas, may Allah be pleased with him, in Tabaristan. He asked the people, "Who among you has prayed Salat al-Khawf (prayer of fear) with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" Hudhayfah, may Allah be pleased with him, said, "I have." And he described it thus: The people formed two rows behind the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. One row stood facing the enemy, and the other row stood behind the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, for prayer. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, led them in one rak'ah (unit of prayer). Then, those who were facing the enemy switched places with those who were behind the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and stood behind him. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, led them in the second rak'ah. Then, the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, finished the prayer with the Salam (salutation). Thus, the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, prayed two rak'ahs, and each group behind him prayed one rak'ah.

ثعلبہ بن زہدم کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ طبرستان میں حضرت سعید بن عاص رضی اللہ عنہ کے ہمراہ تھے انہوں نے لوگوں سے پوچھا کہ تم میں سے نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ صلوۃ الخوف کس نے پڑھی ہے؟ حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا میں نے اور وہ اس طرح کہ لوگوں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کے پیچھے دو صفیں بنالیں ایک صف دشمن کے سامنے کھڑی رہی اور ایک صف نبی کریم ﷺ کی اقتداء میں نماز کے لئے کھڑی ہوگئی نبی کریم ﷺ نے ان لوگوں کو ایک رکعت پڑھائی پھر یہ لوگ دشمن کے سامنے ڈٹے ہوئے لوگوں کی جگہ الٹے پاؤں چلے گئے اور وہ لوگ ان کی جگہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے پیچھے آکر کر کھڑے ہوگئے اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے انہیں دوسری رکعت پڑھائی پھر نبی کریم ﷺ نے سلام پھیر دیا اس طرح نبی کریم ﷺ کی دو رکعتیں ہوگئیں اور ان کے پیچھے ہر گروہ کی ایک ایک رکعت ہوئی۔
Salabah bin Zahad kahte hain ki aik martaba hum log Tabaristan mein Hazrat Saeed bin Aas Radi Allaho Anhu ke hamrah the unhon ne logon se poocha ki tum mein se Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ke sath Salat-ul-Khauf kis ne parhi hai Hazrat Huzaifa Radi Allaho Anhu ne farmaya mein ne aur wo is tarah ke logon ne Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ke peeche do safein bana lein ek saf dushman ke samne khadi rahi aur ek saf Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ki iqteda mein namaz ke liye khadi ho gayi Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne un logon ko ek rakat parhayi phir ye log dushman ke samne date hue logon ki jagah ulte paon chale gaye aur wo log un ki jagah Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ke peeche aakar kar khade ho gaye aur Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne unhen dusri rakat parhayi phir Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne salaam pher diya is tarah Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ki do rakaten ho gayin aur un ke peeche har giroh ki ek ek rakat hui.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبدُ الْوَاحِدِ بنُ زِيَادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبو رَوْقٍ عَطِيَّةُ بنُ الْحَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُخْمِلُ بنُ دِمَاثٍ ، قَالَ: غَزَوْتُ مَعَ سَعِيدِ بنِ الْعَاصِ، قَالَ: فَسَأَلَ النَّاسَ: مَنْ شَهِدَ مِنْكُمْ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ : أَنَا، " صَلَّى بطَائِفَةٍ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ رَكْعَةً، وَطَائِفَةٌ مُوَاجِهَةَ الْعَدُوِّ، ثُمَّ ذَهَب هَؤُلَاءِ فَقَامُوا مَقَامَ أَصْحَابهِمْ مُوَاجِهُو الْعَدُوِّ، وَجَاءَتْ الطَّائِفَةُ الْأُخْرَى، فَصَلَّى بهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَةً ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ، فَكَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَتَانِ وَلِكُلِّ طَائِفَةٍ رَكْعَةٌ" .
