The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2344
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would say when afflicted with pain: “La ilaha illallahul ‘Azimul Halim, la ilaha illallahu antarabbul ‘arshil ‘azim, la ilaha illa anta rabbus-samawati wa rabbul ardhi wa rabbul ‘arshil karim.” “There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, the Mighty, the Forbearing. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. There is no deity worthy of worship except You, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne.”

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ تکلیف آنے پر یہ فرماتے تھے: «لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ أَنْتَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ» ”اس اللہ کے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں ہے جو بڑا عظیم اور بردبار ہے، اس اللہ کے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں ہے جو عرش عظیم کا مالک ہے، اس اللہ کے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں جو زمین و آسمان اور عرش کریم کا رب ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) takleef aane par ye farmate thy: "La ilaha illal la hul azeemul halim la ilaha illal lahu anta rabbul arshil azeem la ilaha illa anta rabbus samawati wa rabbul ardhi wa rabbul arshil kareem" "Iss Allah ke ilawa koi mabood nahi hai jo bada azeem aur burdbaar hai, iss Allah ke ilawa koi mabood nahi hai jo arsh azeem ka malik hai, iss Allah ke ilawa koi mabood nahi jo zameen o aasman aur arsh kareem ka rab hai."
قَالَ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ , أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَدْعُو عِنْدَ الْكَرْبِ:" لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ أَنْتَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ، وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ".
