Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 23490
Yazid bin Abi Habib said: Whenever Murthad bin Abdullah used to come to the mosque, he would always bring something with him to give in charity. One day, he came to the mosque bringing onions with him. I said to him, "O Abu Al-Khair! Why have you brought these? They will make your clothes smell." He said, "Nephew! Today there was nothing in my house to give in charity and a companion, may Allah be pleased with him, told me that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'The shade of a Muslim on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.'"

یزید بن ابی حبیب کہتے ہیں کہ مرثد بن عبداللہ جب بھی مسجد آتے تو اپنے ساتھ صدقہ کرنے کے لئے کوئی چیز ضرور لاتے تھے ایک دن وہ مسجد میں آئے تو اپنے ساتھ پیاز لے کر آئے میں نے ان سے کہا اے ابوالخیر! یہ کیوں لے آئے؟ اس سے تو آپ کے کپڑوں سے بدبو آنے لگے گی انہوں نے کہا بھتیجے! آج میرے گھر میں صدقہ کرنے کے لئے کچھ نہیں تھا اور مجھے ایک صحابی رضی اللہ عنہ نے بتایا ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا قیامت کے دن مسلمان کا سایہ اس کا صدقہ ہوگا۔
Yazid bin Abi Habib kehte hain ki Mursid bin Abdullah jab bhi masjid aate to apne sath sadqa karne ke liye koi cheez zaroor laate the ek din wo masjid mein aaye to apne sath piyaz le kar aaye mein ne un se kaha aye Abulkhair ye kyon le aaye is se to aap ke kapdon se badbu aane lagegi unhon ne kaha bhateeje aaj mere ghar mein sadqa karne ke liye kuch nahi tha aur mujhe ek sahabi (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne bataya hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya qayamat ke din musalman ka saya is ka sadqa hoga.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بنِ أَبي حَبيب ، قَالَ: كَانَ مَرْثَدُ بنُ عَبدِ اللَّهِ لَا يَجِيءُ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ إِلَّا وَمَعَهُ شَيْءٌ يَتَصَدَّقُ بهِ، قَالَ: فَجَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ وَمَعَهُ بصَلٌ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: أَبا الْخَيْرِ، مَا تُرِيدُ إِلَى هَذَا، يُنْتِنُ عَلَيْكَ ثَوْبكَ! قَالَ: يَا ابنَ أَخِي، إِنَّهُ وَاللَّهِ مَا كَانَ فِي مَنْزِلِي شَيْءٌ أَتَصَدَّقُ بهِ غَيْرُهُ، إِنَّهُ حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَاب النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَنِ النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " ظِلُّ الْمُؤْمِنِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ صَدَقَتُهُ" .
