Hadith of Abu al-Tufail 'Amir ibn Wathilah, may Allah be pleased with him.

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 23800
It is narrated on the authority of Hadrat Abu Al-Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him), (mentioning the construction of the Kaaba in the pre-Islamic period) that when the construction of the House of Allah began (the Quraysh first demolished it completely and started rebuilding it with stones from the valley) people were bringing stones, including the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). (The Quraysh had kept it twenty cubits long.) The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was wearing a woolen shawl, but it became difficult to manage it while lifting stones, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) put the shawl on his shoulder. At that time, someone shouted, "Cover your private parts!" So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) threw the stone and covered himself with his shawl. Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

حضرت ابوالطفیل رضی اللہ عنہ سے (زمانہ جاہلیت میں بناء کعبہ کا تذکرہ کرتے ہوئے) مروی ہے کہ جب بیت اللہ کی تعمیر شروع ہوئی (تو قریش نے پہلے اسے مکمل منہدم کیا اور وادی کے پتھروں سے اس کی تعمیر شروع کردی) لوگ وہ پتھر اٹھا اٹھا کر لارہے تھے جن میں نبی کریم ﷺ بھی شامل تھے (قریش نے اسے بیس گز لمبا رکھا تھا) نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک اونی چادر پہن رکھی تھی لیکن پتھر اٹھانے کے دوران اسے سنبھالنا مشکل ہوگیا تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے اس چادر کو اپنے کندھے پر ڈال لیا اس وقت کسی نے پکار کر کہا کہ اپنا ستر چھپائیے چناچہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے پتھر پھینکا اور اپنی چادراوڑھ لی۔ ﷺ
Hazrat Abu al Tufayl razi Allah anhu se zamana jahiliyat mein bana Kaaba ka tazkara karte huye marvi hai ki jab Bayt Allah ki tameer shuru hui to Quraysh ne pehle ise mukmmal minhadim kiya aur wadi ke pattharon se iski tameer shuru kar di log woh patthar utha utha kar la rahe the jin mein Nabi Karim (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) bhi shamil the Quraysh ne ise bees gaz lamba rakha tha Nabi Karim (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek ooni chadar pehan rakhi thi lekin patthar uthane ke dauran ise sambhalna mushkil ho gaya to Nabi Karim (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is chadar ko apne kandhe par daal liya is waqt kisi ne pukar kar kaha ki apna satar chhupaiye chunacha Nabi Karim (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne patthar phenka aur apni chadar odh li (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أخبر مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، وَذَكَرَ بِنَاءَ الْكَعْبَةِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، قَالَ:" فَهَدَمَتْهَا قُرَيْشٌ، وَجَعَلُوا يَبْنُونَهَا بِحِجَارَةِ الْوَادِي تَحْمِلُهَا قُرَيْشٌ عَلَى رِقَابِهَا، فَرَفَعُوهَا فِي السَّمَاءِ عِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعًا، فَبَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَحْمِلُ حِجَارَةً مِنْ أَجْيَادٍ وَعَلَيْهِ نَمِرَةٌ، فَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِ النَّمِرَةُ، فَذَهَبَ يَضَعُ النَّمِرَةَ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ، فَيُرَى عَوْرَتُهُ مِنْ صِغَرِ النَّمِرَةِ، فَنُودِيَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ، خَمِّرْ عَوْرَتَكَ، فَلَمْ يُرَى عُرْيَانًا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ" .
