Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24161
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would be in a state of major ritual impurity requiring Ghusl (ritual bath) and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would fall asleep without touching water. Then, upon waking up, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would perform Ghusl.
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ بعض اوقات نبی ﷺ پر غسل واجب ہوتا اور نبی ﷺ پانی کو ہاتھ لگائے بغیر سو جاتے تھے، پھر جب سونے کے بعد بیدار ہوتے تب غسل فرماتے۔
Hazrat Aisha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai keh baaz auqaat Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam par ghusl wajib hota aur Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam pani ko hath lagaye baghair so jate thay, phir jab sone ke baad bedaar hote tab ghusl farmate.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت:" كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُجْنِبُ، ثُمَّ يَنَامُ، وَلَا يَمَسُّ مَاءً حَتَّى يَقُومَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ، فَيَغْتَسِلَ" .
