Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24386
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man was walking behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said that I am going to participate in battle with you. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him, "Do you believe in Allah and His Messenger?" He said, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Then we do not take help from any polytheist." He repeated the same thing, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked the same question. This time he replied in the affirmative and then set off with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ ایک آدمی نبی ﷺ کے پیچھے چل رہا تھا، وہ کہنے لگا کہ میں آپ کے ساتھ لڑائی میں شریک ہونے کے لئے جارہا ہوں، نبی ﷺ نے اس سے پوچھا کیا تم اللہ اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان رکھتے ہو؟ اس نے کہا نہیں، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ پھر ہم کسی مشرک سے مدد نہیں لیتے، اس نے دوبارہ یہی بات دہرائی، نبی ﷺ نے بھی وہی سوال پوچھا، اس مرتبہ اس نے اثبات میں جواب دیا اور پھر نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ روانہ ہوگیا۔
Hazrat Aisha Raziallahu Anha se marvi hai ki aik aadmi Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke peeche chal raha tha, woh kehne laga ki main aap ke sath laraai mein sharik hone ke liye ja raha hun, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne us se pucha kya tum Allah aur us ke Rasul par imaan rakhte ho? Usne kaha nahin, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ki phir hum kisi mushrik se madad nahin lete, usne dobara yahi baat dohrai, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne bhi wohi sawal pucha, is martaba usne isbat mein jawab diya aur phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath rawana hogaya.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ الْفُضَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نِيَارٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا اتَّبَعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: أَتَّبِعُكَ لِأُصِيبَ مَعَكَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ؟"، قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ:" فَإِنَّا لَا نَسْتَعِينُ بِمُشْرِكٍ"، قَالَ: فَقَالَ لَهُ فِي الْمَرَّةِ الثَّانِيَةِ:" تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ"، قَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَانْطَلَقَ فَتَبِعَهُ .
