Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24799
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha that sometimes Ghusl (ritual bath) would become obligatory on the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) but he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would go to sleep without touching the water, then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would wake up and go back to sleep again in the same manner.

حضرت عائشہ سے مروی ہے کہ بعض اوقات نبی ﷺ پر غسل واجب ہوتا لیکن نبی ﷺ پانی کو ہاتھ لگائے بغیر سوجاتے، پھر بیدار ہوتے اور دوبارہ یونہی سوجاتے۔
Hazrat Ayesha se marvi hai keh baaz auqat Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) par ghusl wajib hota lekin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) pani ko hath lagaye baghair sojate, phir bedar hote aur dobara yunhi sojate.
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُجْنِبُ، ثُمَّ يَنَامُ، ثُمَّ يَنْتَبِهُ، ثُمَّ يَنَامُ، وَلَا يَمَسُّ مَاءً" .
