Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24869
It is narrated by Ayesha that when Abu Bakr Siddique became ill, he asked, "On what day did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) pass away?" We replied, "On Monday." He asked, "In how many shrouds did you bury the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?" I said, "Dear Father! We shrouded him in three new white Sahooli sheets from Yemen. There was no shirt or turban, just these sheets wrapped around him."

حضرت عائشہ سے مروی ہے کہ جب حضرت صدیق اکبر کی طبیعت بوجھل ہونے لگی تو انہوں نے پو چھا کہ نبی ﷺ کا وصال کس دن ہوا تھا؟ ہم نے بتایا پیر کے دن، انہوں نے پوچھا تم نے نبی ﷺ کو کتنے کپڑوں میں کفن دیا تھا؟ میں نے عرض کیا ابا جان! ہم نے انہیں یمن کی تین نئی سفید سحولی چادروں میں کفن دیا تھا، جس میں قمیض تھی اور نہ ہی عمامہ، بس انہیں اس میں لپیٹ دیا گیا تھا۔
hazrat ayesha se marvi hai ki jab hazrat siddique akbar ki tabiyat bojhhal hone lagi to unhon ne poocha ki nabi sallallaho alaihe wasallam ka wisal kis din hua tha hum ne bataya peer ke din unhon ne poocha tum ne nabi sallallaho alaihe wasallam ko kitne kapron mein kafan diya tha maine arz kiya abba jaan hum ne unhen yemen ki teen nayi safed saholi chadarron mein kafan diya tha jis mein qameez thi aur na hi amama bas unhen is mein lapet diya gaya tha
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ , قَالَ لَهَا: يَا بُنَيَّةُ، أَيُّ يَوْمٍ تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قُلْتُ: " يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ"، قَالَ: فِي كَمْ كَفَّنْتُمْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قُلْتُ:" يَا أَبَتِ، كَفَّنَّاهُ فِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ بِيضٍ سُحُولِيَّةٍ، جُدُدٍ يَمَانِيَةٍ، لَيْسَ فِيهَا قَمِيصٌ وَلَا عِمَامَةٌ، أُدْرِجَ فِيهَا إِدْرَاجًا" .
