The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2520
It is narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said regarding Laylat al-Qadr: "Seek it in the last ten days of Ramadan, on the (odd) night when nine (days) remain, or when five (days) remain, or when seven (days) remain."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے شب قدر کے متعلق فرمایا کہ ”اسے رمضان کے عشرہ اخیرہ میں تلاش کرو، نو راتیں باقی رہ جانے پر، یا پانچ راتیں باقی رہ جانے پر، یا سات راتیں باقی رہ جانے پر۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Shab e Qadr ke mutalliq farmaya keh "ise Ramzan ke Ashra Akhirra mein talaash karo, nau raatain baqi reh jaane par, ya paanch raatain baqi reh jaane par, ya saat raatain baqi reh jaane par."
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، فِي تَاسِعَةٍ تَبْقَى، أَوْ سَابِعَةٍ تَبْقَى، أَوْ خَامِسَةٍ تَبْقَى".
