The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2535
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, Sayyiduna Saab bin Jussama (may Allah be pleased with him) presented a donkey's leg to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned it to him, saying, "We are in the state of Ihram," while it was dripping with blood.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ سیدنا صعب بن جثامہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں ایک حمار کی ٹانگ پیش کی، لیکن نبی ﷺ نے اسے واپس کرتے ہوئے فرمایا کہ ”ہم محرم ہیں“، اس وقت اس سے خون ٹپک رہا تھا۔
Syedna Ibn Abbas RA se marvi hai keh aik martaba Syedna Saab bin Usama RA ne Nabi SAW ki khidmat mein ek khamar ki taang pesh ki, lekin Nabi SAW ne usay wapis karte huye farmaya keh hum mehram hain, us waqt us se khoon tip raha tha.
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ:" أَهْدَى صَعْبُ بْنُ جَثَّامَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رِجْلَ حِمَارٍ، وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ، فَرَدَّهُ وَهُوَ يَقْطُرُ دَمًا".
