Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25384

Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that once she asked in the court of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "O Prophet of Allah! Tell me, if I find the Night of Decree, what should I pray for?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "You should pray, 'O Allah! You are the Most Forgiving, and You love to forgive, so forgive me."

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ انہوں نے بارگاہ رسالت میں عرض کیا اے اللہ کے نبی! یہ بتایئے کہ اگر مجھے شب قدر حاصل ہوجائے تو میں اس میں کیا دعا مانگوں؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا تم یہ دعا مانگا کرو کہ اے اللہ! تو خوب معاف کرنے والا ہے، معاف کرنے کو پسند بھی کرتا ہے لہٰذا مجھے معاف فرما دے۔

Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai keh aik martaba unhon ne bargah risalat mein arz kiya aye Allah ke nabi yeh bataiye keh agar mujhe shab e qadar hasil hojae to mein is mein kya dua maangoon? Nabi sallallaho alaihi wasallam ne farmaya tum yeh dua maanga karo keh aye Allah! to khoob maaf karne wala hai, maaf karne ko pasand bhi karta hai lihaza mujhe maaf farma de.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا كَهْمَسٌ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ ، قَالَ: قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ وَافَقْتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ، مَا أَقُولُ؟ قَالَ:" تَقُولِينَ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ، فَاعْفُ عَنِّي" .
