Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25517
Narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the verse of Takheer (choice) was revealed, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) first called me and said, "O Aisha! I want to mention something to you, do not make any decision about it without consulting your parents." I said, "What is it?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) called me and recited this verse: "O Prophet! Tell your wives that if you desire Allah and His Messenger and the Home of the Hereafter..." I said, "Should I consult my parents in this matter? I choose Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was very pleased and said, "I will say the same to your other wives." I said, "Do not tell them what I have chosen." But the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not do so, and he would tell them the answer of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) saying, "Aisha has chosen Allah, His Messenger and the Home of the Hereafter." She says that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave us a choice, but we did not consider it as divorce.

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ جب آیت تخییر نازل ہوئی تو سب سے پہلے نبی ﷺ نے مجھے بلایا اور فرمایا اے عائشہ! میں تمہارے سامنے ایک بات ذکر کرنا چاہتا ہوں، تم اس میں اپنے والدین سے مشورے کے بغیر کوئی فیصلہ نہ کرنا، میں نے عرض کیا ایسی کیا بات ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے مجھے بلا کر یہ آیت تلاوت فرمائی " اے نبی ﷺ ! اپنی بیویوں کو کہہ دیجئے کہ اگر تم اللہ اور اس کے رسول اور دارآخرت کو چاہتی ہو۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ " میں نے عرض کیا کہ کیا میں اس معاملے میں اپنے والدین سے مشورہ کروں گی؟ میں اللہ اور اس کے رسول کو اختیار کرتی ہوں، اس پر نبی ﷺ بہت خوش ہوئے اور فرمایا میں تمہاری دوسری سہیلیوں کے سامنے بھی یہی چیز کھوں گا، میں نے عرض کیا کہ آپ انہیں اس چیز کے متعلق نہ بتائیے گا جسے میں نے اختیار کیا ہے، لیکن نبی ﷺ نے ایسا نہیں کیا اور وہ انہیں حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کا جواب بتا کر کہتے تھے کہ عائشہ نے اللہ، اس کے رسول اور آخرت کے گھر کو پسند کرلیا ہے، وہ کہتی ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ نے ہمیں اختیار دیا تھا لیکن ہم نے اسے طلاق نہیں سمجھا۔
Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai keh jab ayat Takhyeer nazil hoi to sab se pehle Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne mujhe bulaya aur farmaya aye Ayesha! mein tumhare samne ek baat zikar karna chahta hun, tum is mein apne waldain se mashware ke baghair koi faisla na karna, mein ne arz kya aisi kya baat hai? Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne mujhe bula kar yeh ayat tilawat farmaei " aye Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam! apni biwiyon ko keh dijye keh agar tum Allah aur us ke Rasool aur dar-e-aakhirat ko chahti ho......." mein ne arz kya keh kya mein is mamle mein apne waldain se mashwara karun gi? mein Allah aur us ke Rasool ko ikhtiyar karti hun, is par Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam bahut khush hue aur farmaya mein tumhari dusri saheliyon ke samne bhi yehi cheez kahunga, mein ne arz kya keh aap unhen is cheez ke mutalliq na bataiye ga jise mein ne ikhtiyar kya hai, lekin Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne aisa nahin kya aur wo unhen Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha ka jawab bata kar kehte thay keh Ayesha ne Allah, us ke Rasool aur aakhirat ke ghar ko pasand kar liya hai, wo kehti hain keh Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne hamen ikhtiyar diya tha lekin hum ne use talaq nahin samjha.
حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُخَيِّرُ امْرَأَتَهُ فَتَخْتَارُهُ؟ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ: أَتَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ:" إِنِّي سَأَعْرِضُ عَلَيْكِ أَمْرًا، فَلَا عَلَيْكِ أَنْ لَا تَعْجَلِي فِيهِ حَتَّى تُشَاوِرِي أَبَوَيْكِ"، فَقُلْتُ: وَمَا هَذَا الْأَمْرُ؟ قَالَتْ: فَتَلَا عَلَيَّ: يَأَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لأَزْوَاجِكَ إِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتَهَا فَتَعَالَيْنَ أُمَتِّعْكُنَّ وَأُسَرِّحْكُنَّ سَرَاحًا جَمِيلا وَإِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالدَّارَ الآخِرَةَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَدَّ لِلْمُحْسِنَاتِ مِنْكُنَّ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا سورة الأحزاب آية 28 - 29 قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: فَقُلْتُ: وَفِي أَيِّ ذَلِكَ تَأْمُرُنِي أُشَاوِرُ أَبَوَيَّ؟! بَلْ أُرِيدُ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ. قَالَتْ: فَسُرَّ بِذَلِكَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَعْجَبَهُ، وَقَالَ:" سَأَعْرِضُ عَلَى صَوَاحِبِكِ مَا عَرَضْتُ عَلَيْكِ". قَالَتْ: فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: فَلَا تُخْبِرْهُنَّ بِالَّذِي اخْتَرْتُ، فَلَمْ يَفْعَلْ، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ لَهُنَّ كَمَا قَالَ لِعَائِشَةَ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ:" قَدْ اخْتَارَتْ عَائِشَةُ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ"، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: قَدْ خَيَّرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ نَرَ ذَلِكَ طَلَاقًا .
