Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25886
It is narrated on the authority of Ayesha, may Allah be pleased with her, that whenever the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, intended to perform the sacrifice, he would purchase two rams, both of which were well-fed, fresh, healthy, horned, beautiful, and castrated. He would sacrifice one of them on behalf of those from his Ummah who remained steadfast in their affirmation of the Oneness of Allah and bore witness to the fact that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, had conveyed the divine message. The other animal, Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, would sacrifice on behalf of himself and the household of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ جب قربانی کا ارادہ فرماتے تو دو مینڈھے خریدتے جو خوب موٹے تازے، صحت مند، سینگدار، خوب صورت اور خصی ہوتے تھے اور ان میں سے ایک اپنی امت کے ان لوگوں کی طرف سے ذبح فرماتے جو توحید کے اقرار پر قائم ہوئے اور اس بات کی گواہی دیتے ہوں کہ نبی ﷺ نے پیغام الٰہی پہنچا دیا اور دوسرا جانور محمد ﷺ و آل محمد ﷺ کی طرف سے قربان کرتے تھے۔
Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai ki Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam jab qurbani ka irada farmate to do mendhe kharidte jo khoob mote taze sehat mand singdar khoobsurat aur khasi hote thay aur in mein se ek apni ummat ke un logon ki taraf se zibah farmate jo tauheed ke iqrar par qaiem hue aur is baat ki gawahi dete hon ke Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne paigham elahi pohancha diya aur dusra janwar Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam o Aal Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ki taraf se qurban karte thay.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ , قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , أَوْ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُضَحِّيَ , اشْتَرَى كَبْشَيْنِ عَظِيمَيْنِ سَمِينَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ أَقْرَنَيْنِ مَوْجُوءيْنِ , فَيَذْبَحُ أَحَدَهُمَا عَنْ أُمَّتِهِ مِمَّنْ شَهِدَ بِالتَّوْحِيدِ , وَشَهِدَ لَهُ بِالْبَلَاغِ , وَذَبَحَ الْآخَرَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ" .
