Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25906
Abdul Aziz bin Juraij (may Allah have mercy on him) said that I asked Umm al-Mu'minin Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) which Surahs the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to recite in Witr. She said, "In the first Rak'ah, he would recite 'Sabbih Isma Rabbikal A'la' (Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High), in the second 'Qul ya ayyuhal kafirun' (Say, "O disbelievers"), and in the third 'Qul huwallahu ahad' (Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One"). And he would recite Mu'awwidhatain (Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas)."

عبدالعزیز بن جریخ رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے پوچھا کہ نبی ﷺ وتروں میں کون سی سورتیں پڑھتے تھے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا پہلی رکعت میں " سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى" دوسری میں " قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ " اور تیسری میں " قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ " اور معوذتین کی تلاوت فرماتے تھے۔
Abdul Aziz bin Jarich rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke maine Ummul Momineen Hazrat Ayesha raziallah anha se pucha ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) witron mein kaun si surtein parhte thay? Unhon ne farmaya pehli rakat mein "Subbihisma Rabbikal Aala" dusri mein "Qul ya ayyuhal kafirun" aur teesri mein "Qul huwallahu ahad" aur Muawwidhatain ki tilawat farmate thay.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ جُرَيْجٍ , قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كَانَ يُوتِرُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَتْ: " كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى بِ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى , وَفِي الثَّانِيَةَ بِ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ , وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ بِ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ , و َالْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ" .
