Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25908
It was narrated from Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, that the day the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, became ill with his fatal illness, he, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came from Baqi' to my house. I had a headache, so I said, "Oh, my head!" The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said jokingly, "I wish that what is going to happen would happen during my lifetime, so I could prepare you well and bury you." I said, "You have something else in mind. You are going to stay overnight with another wife as her bridegroom today." The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, began to smile, then his fatal illness began.

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ جس دن نبی ﷺ کے مرض الوفات کی ابتداء ہوئی، نبی ﷺ بقیع سے میرے یہاں تشریف لائے، میرے سر میں درد ہو رہا تھا اس لئے میں نے کہا ہائے میرا سر، نبی ﷺ نے مذاق میں فرمایا میری خواہش ہے کہ جو ہونا ہے وہ میری زندگی میں ہوجائے تو میں اچھی طرح تمہیں تیار کر کے دفن کر دوں، میں نے کہا کہ آپ کا مقصد کچھ اور ہے، آپ اسی دن کسی اور عورت کے ساتھ دولہا بن کر شب باشی کریں گے، نبی ﷺ مسکرانے لگے، پھر مرض الوفات شروع ہوگیا۔
Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai keh jis din Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ke marz ul wafat ki ibtida hui, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam Baqee se mere yahan tashreef laye, mere sar mein dard ho raha tha is liye maine kaha haye mera sar, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne mazaq mein farmaya meri khwahish hai keh jo hona hai wo meri zindagi mein hojaye to main achi tarah tumhein tayyar kar ke dafan kar dun, maine kaha keh aap ka maqsad kuchh aur hai, aap isi din kisi aur aurat ke sath dulha ban kar shab bashi karenge, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam muskurane lage, phir marz ul wafat shuru hogaya.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ , عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ: رَجَعَ إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ مِنْ جَنَازَةٍ بِالْبَقِيعِ , وَأَنَا أَجِدُ صُدَاعًا فِي رَأْسِي , وَأَنَا أَقُولُ: وَا رَأْسَاهْ , قَالَ: " بَلْ أَنَا وَا رَأْسَاهْ" , قَالَ:" مَا ضَرَّكِ لَوْ مِتِّ قَبْلِي , فَغَسَّلْتُكِ وَكَفَّنْتُكِ , ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ عَلَيْكِ , وَدَفَنْتُكِ" , قُلْتُ: لَكِنِّي , أَوْ لَكَأَنِّي بِكَ وَاللَّهِ لَوْ فَعَلْتَ ذَلِكَ لَقَدْ رَجَعْتَ إِلَى بَيْتِي , فَأَعْرَسْتَ فِيهِ بِبَعْضِ نِسَائِكَ , قَالَتْ: فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ بُدِئَ بِوَجَعِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ .
