Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25927
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha (RA) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would observe Itikaf (seclusion in the mosque) and put his head out of the mosque, and I would comb his hair, even though I was menstruating.

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ معتکف ہوتے اور مسجد سے اپنا سر باہر نکال دیتے، میں اسے دھو دیتی حالانکہ میں ایام سے ہوتی تھی۔
Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aitkaf hote aur masjid se apna sar bahar nikal dete, main ise dho deti halanki main ayam se hoti thi.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ وَيَعْلَى , أَنْبَأَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ تَمِيمِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ:" كُنْتُ أَغْسِلُ رَأْسَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ عَاكِفٌ , وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ" .
