Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26365
It is narrated on the authority of Ummul Momineen Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) distributed the captives of Banu Mustaliq, Juwairiyah bint Harith came to the lot of Thabit bin Qais bin Shammas or his cousin. Juwairiyah made an agreement with him for her freedom. She was a very beautiful and elegant woman. Whoever saw her, his eyes would be fixed on her. She came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to request his help in paying off her manumission. By Allah, when I saw her at the door of my room, I felt a pang of jealousy and I realized that he (the Prophet) must have seen the same beauty that I had seen. So she came in and said: "O Messenger of Allah! I am Juwairiyah bint Harith, who was the chieftain of her people. The calamity that has befallen me is not hidden from you. I have fallen into the lot of Thabit bin Qais or his cousin. I have made an agreement with him for my freedom and now I have come to you to request your help in paying it off." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you something better than that?" She said: "What is it, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "I will pay your manumission and marry you." She agreed and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did the same. When the news spread among the people that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had married Juwairiyah, they started saying that they had become his in-laws. So they set their captives free. Thus, due to the blessings of this marriage, a hundred families of Banu Mustaliq were set free. I do not know of any other woman who was a greater blessing for her people than her.

ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے جب بنو مصطلق کے قیدیوں کو تقسیم کیا تو حضرت جویریہ بنت حارث، ثابت بن قیس بن شماس یا ان کے چچا زاد بھائی کے حصے میں آگئیں، حضرت جویریہ نے ان کے مکاتبت کرلی، وہ بڑی حسین و جمیل خاتون تھیں، جو بھی انہیں دیکھتا تھا، اس کی نظر ان پر جم جاتی تھی، وہ نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں اپنے بدل کتابت کی ادائیگی میں تعاون کی درخواست لے کر حاضر ہوئیں، واللہ جب میں نے انہیں اپنے حجرے کے دروازے پر دیکھا تو مجھے طبیعت پر بوچھ محسوس ہوا اور میں سمجھ گئی کہ میں نے ان کا حسن و جمال دیکھا ہے، نبی ﷺ بھی اس پر ضرور توجہ فرمائیں گے، چنانچہ وہ اندر آئیں اور کہنے لگیں یا رسول اللہ! میں جویریہ بنت حارث ہوں، جو اپنی قوم کا سردار تھا، میرے اوپر جو مصیبت آئی ہے وہ آپ پر مخفی نہیں ہے، میں ثابت بن قیس یا اس کے چچا زاد بھائی کے حصے میں آئی ہوں، میں نے اس سے اپنے حوالے سے مکاتبت کرلی ہے اور اب آپ کے پاس کتابت کی ادائیگی میں تعاون کی درخواست لے کر آئی ہوں، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کے میں تمہیں اس سے بہتر بات نہ بتاؤں؟ انہوں نے کہا یا رسول اللہ! وہ کیا؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا تمہارا بدل کتابت کر کے میں تم سے نکاح کرلوں، انہوں نے حامی بھر لی، نبی ﷺ نے اسی طرح کیا، ادھر لوگوں میں خبر پھیل گئی کہ نبی ﷺ نے جویریہ سے شادی کرلی ہے، لوگ کہنے لگے کہ یہ سسرال والے بن گئے، چنانچہ انہوں نے اپنے اپنے غلام آزاد کردیئے، یوں اس شادی کی برکت سے بنی مصطلق کے سو گھرانوں کو آزادی نصیب ہوگئی، اپنی قوم کے لئے اس سے عظیم برکت والی عورت میرے علم میں نہیں۔
Umm ul Momineen Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai ki Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne jab Banu Mustaliq ke qaidion ko taqseem kya to Hazrat Juwairiya bint Haris, Sabit bin Qais bin Shamas ya un ke chacha zad bhai ke hisse mein aaeen, Hazrat Juwairiya ne un ke mukatabat karli, woh badi haseen o jameel khatoon theen, jo bhi unhen dekhta tha, us ki nazar un par jam jati thi, woh Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ki khidmat mein apne badal kitaabat ki adaegi mein taawun ki darkhwast lekar hazir hueen, Wallah jab maine unhen apne hujre ke darwaze par dekha to mujhe tabiyat par booch mehsoos hua aur main samjhi gai ki maine un ka husn o jamal dekha hai, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam bhi is par zaroor tawajja farmaenge, chunancha woh andar aaeen aur kehne lageen Ya Rasulullah main Juwairiya bint Haris hun, jo apni qaum ka sardar tha, mere upar jo musibat aai hai woh aap par makhfi nahi hai, main Sabit bin Qais ya us ke chacha zad bhai ke hisse mein aai hun, maine is se apne hawale se mukatabat karli hai aur ab aap ke pass kitaabat ki adaegi mein taawun ki darkhwast lekar aai hun, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya ke main tumhen is se behtar baat na bataun? Unhon ne kaha Ya Rasulullah woh kya? Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya tumhara badal kitaabat kar ke main tum se nikah karlun, unhon ne haami bhar li, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne isi tarah kya, udhar logon mein khabar phail gai ki Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne Juwairiya se shadi karli hai, log kehne lage ki yeh susral wale ban gaye, chunancha unhon ne apne apne ghulam azad kardiye, yun is shadi ki barkat se Bani Mustaliq ke sau gharanon ko azadi naseeb hogai, apni qaum ke liye is se azeem barkat wali aurat mere ilm mein nahin.
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ , عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَتْ: لَمَّا قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَبَايَا بَنِي الْمُصْطَلِقِ , وَقَعَتْ جُوَيْرِيَةُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ فِي السَّهْمِ لِثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ الشِمَاسٍ , أَوْ لِابْنِ عَمٍّ لَهُ , وَكَاتَبَتْهُ عَلَى نَفْسِهَا , وَكَانَتْ امْرَأَةً حُلْوَةً مُلَاحَةً لَا يَرَاهَا أَحَدٌ إِلَّا أَخَذَتْ بِنَفْسِهِ , فَأَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَسْتَعِينُهُ فِي كِتَابَتِهَا , قَالَتْ: فَوَاللَّهِ مَا هُوَ إِلَّا أَنْ رَأَيْتُهَا عَلَى بَابِ حُجْرَتِي فَكَرِهْتُهَا , وَعَرَفْتُ أَنَّهُ سَيَرَى مِنْهَا مَا رَأَيْتُ , فَدَخَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ , فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , أَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ أَبِي ضِرَارٍ سَيِّدِ قَوْمِهِ , وَقَدْ أَصَابَنِي مِنَ الْبَلَاءِ مَا لَمْ يَخْفَ عَلَيْكَ , فَوَقَعْتُ فِي السَّهْمِ لِثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ الشَّمَّاسِ , أَوْ لِابْنِ عَمٍّ لَهُ , فَكَاتَبْتُهُ عَلَى نَفْسِي , فَجِئْتُكَ أَسْتَعِينُكَ عَلَى كِتَابَتِي , قَالَ: " فَهَلْ لَكِ فِي خَيْرٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ؟" قَالَتْ: وَمَا هُوَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ:" أَقْضِي كِتَابَتَكِ وَأَتَزَوَّجُكِ" قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , قَالَ:" قَدْ فَعَلْتُ" , قَالَتْ: وَخَرَجَ الْخَبَرُ إِلَى النَّاسِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَزَوَّجَ جُوَيْرِيَةَ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ , فَقَالَ النَّاسُ أَصْهَارُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ! فَأَرْسَلُوا مَا بِأَيْدِيهِمْ , قَالَتْ: فَلَقَدْ أَعْتَقَ بِتَزْوِيجِهِ إِيَّاهَا مِائَةَ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ مِنْ بَنِي الْمُصْطَلِقِ , فَمَا أَعْلَمُ امْرَأَةً كَانَتْ أَعْظَمَ بَرَكَةً عَلَى قَوْمِهَا مِنْهَا .
