Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26459
It is narrated on the authority of Hafsah that there were four things that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, never left: fasting on the day of Ashura (10th of Muharram), fasting during the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, fasting three days every month, and praying two rak'ahs before Fajr prayer.

حضرت حفصہ سے مروی ہے کہ چار چیزیں ایسی ہیں جو نبی ﷺ ترک نہیں فرماتے تھے دس محرم کا روزہ عشرہ ذی الحجہ کے روزے ہر مہینے میں تین روزے اور نماز فجر سے پہلے دو رکعتیں۔
Hazrat Hafsa se marvi hai ki chaar cheezain aisi hain jo Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) tark nahin farmate thay das muharram ka roza ashra zil hijjah ke roze har mahine mein teen roze aur namaz fajar se pehle do rakaten.
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْمُلَائِيُّ ، عَنِ الْحُرِّ بْنِ الصَّيَّاحِ ، عَنْ هُنَيْدَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، قَالَتْ: أَرْبَعٌ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَدَعُهُنَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " صِيَامَ عَاشُورَاءَ، وَالْعَشْرَ، وَثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ، وَالرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْغَدَاةِ .
