Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26460
It is narrated by Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to fast three days every month: Thursday, and Monday and Thursday of the following week.

حضرت حفصہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ ہر مہینے میں تین دن روہ رکھتے تھے جمعرات اور اگلے ہفتے میں پیر کے دن۔
Hazrat Hafsa se marvi hai keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) har mahinay mein teen din roza rakhte thay jumaraat aur agle haftay mein peer ke din.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ ، عَنْ سَوَاءٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ: " يَصُومُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ: يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ، وَيَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ، وَيَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ الْأُخْرَى" .
