Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26489
It is narrated by Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Abdur Rahman bin Auf (may Allah be pleased with him) came to her and said, "Mother, I am afraid that the abundance of wealth might destroy me, because I am the richest among the Quraysh." She replied, "Son, spend it, for I have heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying that some of my companions will be such that after my separation from them they will never see me again." When Abdur Rahman bin Auf (may Allah be pleased with him) came out, he met Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) on the way. He told this to Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) himself went to Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) and entering the house, said, "Tell me, by Allah, am I one of them?" She said, "No, but after you I cannot say this about anyone."

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت عبدالرحمن بن عوف ان کے پاس آئے اور کہنے لگے اماں جان مجھے اندیشہ ہے کہ مال کی کثرت مجھے ہلاک نہ کردے۔ کیونکہ میں قریش میں سب سے زیادہ مالدار ہوں انہوں نے جواب دیا کہ بیٹا اسے خرچ کرو کیونکہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ میرے بعض ساتھی ایسے بھی ہوں گے کہ میری ان سے جدائی ہونے کے بعد وہ مجھے دوبارہ کبھی نہ دیکھ سکیں گے، حضرت عبدالرحمن بن عوف جب باہر نکلے تو راستے میں حضرت عمر سے ملاقات ہوگئی انہوں نے حضرت عمر کو یہ بات بتائی حضرت عمر خود حضرت ام سلمہ کے پاس پہنچے اور گھر میں داخل ہو کر فرمایا اللہ کی قسم کھا کر بتائیے کیا میں بھی ان میں سے ہوں؟ انہوں نے فرمایا نہیں لیکن آپ کے بعد میں کسی کے متعلق یہ بات نہیں کہہ سکتی۔
Hazrat Umme Salma raziallahu anha se marvi hai ke ek martaba Hazrat Abdul Rahman bin Auf unke pass aaye aur kehne lage ama jan mujhe andesha hai ke maal ki kasrat mujhe halaak na karde kyunki main quraish mein sab se zyada maaldaar hun unhon ne jawab diya ke beta ise kharch karo kyunki maine nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ke mere baaz saathi aise bhi honge ke meri inse judai hone ke baad wo mujhe dobara kabhi na dekh sakenge Hazrat Abdul Rahman bin Auf jab bahar nikle to raste mein Hazrat Umar se mulaqat hogayi unhon ne Hazrat Umar ko ye baat batai Hazrat Umar khud Hazrat Umme Salma ke pass pahunche aur ghar mein dakhil ho kar farmaya Allah ki kasam kha kar bataiye kya main bhi in mein se hun unhon ne farmaya nahi lekin aap ke baad main kisi ke mutalliq ye baat nahi keh sakti.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ: يَا أُمَّهْ، قَدْ خِفْتُ أَنْ يُهْلِكَنِي كَثْرَةُ مَالِي، أَنَا أَكْثَرُ قُرَيْشٍ مَالًا، قَالَتْ: يَا بُنَيَّ، فَأَنْفِقْ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ مِنْ أَصْحَابِي مَنْ لَا يَرَانِي بَعْدَ أَنْ أُفَارِقَهُ" , فَخَرَجَ، فَلَقِيَ عُمَرَ، فَأَخْبَرَهُ، فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا، فَقَالَ لَهَا: بِاللَّهِ مِنْهُمْ أَنَا؟ فَقَالَتْ: لَا، وَلَنْ أُبْلِيَ أَحَدًا بَعْدَكَ .
