Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26667
It is narrated on the authority of Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would be in a state of Janabah (major ritual impurity) in the morning during the month of Ramadan, then he would take a bath and complete the rest of the day's fast.

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ بعض اوقات نبی ﷺ رمضان کے مہینے میں صبح کے وقت حالت جنابت میں ہوتے پھر غسل کرلیتے اور بقیہ دن کا روزہ مکمل کرلیتے تھے۔
Hazrat Umm Salma raziallahu anha se marvi hai keh baaz auqaat Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Ramadan ke mahine mein subah ke waqt halat e janabat mein hote phir ghusl karlete aur baqia din ka roza mukammal karlete thy.
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحٌ ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ: " يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا، ثُمَّ يَصُومُ يَوْمَهُ" .
