The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2778
Abu Nadrah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Once, while Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) was gracing the pulpit of the mosque in Basra, I heard him say that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would seek refuge in Allah from four things after every prayer, and he (the Prophet) would say: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the trials (of life) whether apparent or hidden. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Dajjal, the liar, who is one-eyed.'"

ابونضرہ رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما جامع بصرہ کے منبر پر رونق افروز تھے، میں نے انہیں یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ نبی ﷺ ہر نماز کے بعد چار چیزوں سے پناہ مانگتے تھے اور فرماتے تھے: «اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْفِتَنِ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْأَعْوَرِ الْكَذَّابِ» ”میں عذاب قبر سے اللہ کی پناہ میں آتا ہوں، میں عذاب جہنم سے اللہ کی پناہ میں آتا ہوں، میں ظاہری اور باطنی فتنوں سے اللہ کی پناہ میں آتا ہوں اور میں اس کانے دجال کے فتنے سے اللہ کی پناہ میں آتا ہوں جو بہت بڑا کذاب ہو گا۔“
AbuNadra rahmatullah alaih kahte hain ki aik martaba Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a jame Basra ke mimbar par ronak afroz the, maine unhen ye farmate hue suna ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) har namaz ke baad chaar chizon se panah mangte the aur farmate the: Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min azabil qabri Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min azabin naar Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal fitani ma zahara minha wa ma batana Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min fitnatil a'waril kazzab ”main azab qabar se Allah ki panah mein aata hun, main azab jahannam se Allah ki panah mein aata hun, main zahiri aur batini fitnon se Allah ki panah mein aata hun aur main us kane dajjal ke fitne se Allah ki panah mein aata hun jo bahut bada kazzab ho ga.“.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْبَرَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْغَنَوِيُّ ، مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا نَضْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ، قَالَ: كَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَلَى هَذَا الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَعَوَّذُ دُبُرَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ مِنْ أَرْبَعٍ، يَقُولُ:" اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْفِتَنِ، مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْأَعْوَرِ الْكَذَّابِ".
