The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2793
It is narrated by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), along with his companions (may Allah be pleased with them), reached Makkah al-Mukarramah on the occasion of Umrah al-Qada, the polytheists began to mock them, saying that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companions had been weakened by the fever of Yathrib (Medina). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered his companions to run between Safa and Marwa in the first three rounds, so that the polytheists could see their strength. So when they saw them running, the polytheists began to say to each other that the fever of Yathrib had not weakened them.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ اپنے صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم کے ہمراہ جب عمرۃ القضاء کے موقع پر مکہ مکرمہ پہنچے تو مشرکین استہزاء کہنے لگے کہ محمد ﷺ اور ان کے ساتھیوں کو یثرب کے بخار نے لاغر کر دیا ہے، نبی ﷺ نے صحابہ کو پہلے تین چکروں میں رمل کرنے کا حکم دے دیا، تاکہ مشرکین ان کی طاقت دیکھ سکیں، چنانچہ انہیں رمل کرتے ہوئے دیکھ کر مشرکین آپس میں کہنے لگے کہ انہیں یثرب کے بخار نے لاغر نہیں کیا ہے۔
Saina Ibne Abbas Raziallahu Anhuma se marvi hai ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) apne Sahaba Kiram Raziallahu Anhum ke hamrah jab Umrah al Qaza ke mauke par Makkah Mukarramah pahunche to mushrikeen istehza kehne lage ke Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aur unke sathiyon ko Yasrab ke bukhar ne laghar kar diya hai, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Sahaba ko pehle teen chakron mein raml karne ka hukum de diya, takah mushrikeen unki taqat dekh saken, chunancha unhen raml karte huye dekh kar mushrikeen aapas mein kehne lage ke unhen Yasrab ke bukhar ne laghar nahin kiya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ وَيُونُسُ ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ قُرَيْشًا قَالَتْ: إِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا وَأَصْحَابَهُ قَدْ وَهَنَتْهُمْ حُمَّى يَثْرِبَ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِعَامِهِ الَّذِي اعْتَمَرَ فِيهِ، قَالَ لِأَصْحَابِه:" ارْمُلُوا بِالْبَيْتِ ثَلَاثًا لِيَرَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ قُوَّتَكُمْ" فَلَمَّا رَمَلُوا، قَالَتْ قُرَيْشٌ: مَا وَهَنَتْهُمْ.
