The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2795

Narrated by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Black Stone came down from Paradise, and it was whiter than snow, but the sins of the children of Adam (mankind) turned it black."


Grade: Sahih

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”حجر اسود جنت سے آیا ہے، یہ پتھر پہلے برف سے بھی زیادہ سفید تھا، مشرکین کے گناہوں نے اسے سیاہ کر دیا۔“

Sayyidina Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Hajar Aswad Jannat se aaya hai, yeh pathar pehle barf se bhi zyada safaid tha, mushrikeen ke gunahon ne ise siyah kar diya."

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ" الْحَجَرُ الْأَسْوَدُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَكَانَ أَشَدَّ بَيَاضًا مِنَ الثَّلْجِ، حَتَّى سَوَّدَتْهُ خَطَايَا أَهْلِ الشِّرْكِ".
