The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2911
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) instructed Sayyiduna 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) to prepare water for ghusl (ritual bath). When he had done so, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave him a cloth and said, "Wrap yourself in this cloth as a screen and stand with your back towards me."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے سیدنا علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو حکم دیا تو انہوں نے غسل کا پانی رکھا، پھر نبی ﷺ نے انہیں ایک کپڑا دیا اور فرمایا کہ ”یہ چادر تان کر پردہ کرواؤ اور میری طرف اپنی پشت کر کے کھڑے ہو جاؤ۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Sayyidna Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko hukum diya to unhon ne ghusl ka pani rakha, phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen ek kapda diya aur farmaya ki "yeh chadar tan kar parda karwao aur meri taraf apni pusht kar ke khare ho jao."
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" أَنَّهُ أَمَرَ عَلِيًّا فَوَضَعَ لَهُ غُسْلًا، ثُمَّ أَعْطَاهُ ثَوْبًا، فَقَالَ: اسْتُرْنِي وَوَلِّنِي ظَهْرَكَ".
