The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3014
Akarmah said that once I saw a man who entered the mosque and stood up to offer prayer. He would say Takbir while raising his head, bowing down and standing up after two rak'ahs. I found it strange and narrated this incident to Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them). Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said, “May your mother be bereaved of you! Was the prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) not like this?”

عکرمہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے ایک آدمی کو دیکھا کہ وہ مسجد میں داخل ہوا اور کھڑے ہو کر نماز پڑھنے لگا، وہ سر اٹھاتے ہوئے، جھکاتے ہوئے اور دو رکعتوں سے اٹھتے ہوئے تکبیر کہتا تھا، میں نے اسے عجیب سمجھ کر یہ واقعہ سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے عرض کیا، سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ تیری ماں نہ رہے، کیا نبی اکرم ﷺ کی نماز اسی طرح نہیں ہوتی تھی۔
Ukramma kehte hain ki ek martaba maine ek aadmi ko dekha ki woh masjid mein daakhil hua aur kharay ho kar namaz parhne laga, woh sar uthate hue, jhukate hue aur do rakaton se uthte hue takbeer kehta tha, maine usey ajeeb samajh kar yeh waqeya Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se arz kiya, Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne farmaya ki teri maan na rahe, kya Nabi Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki namaz isi tarah nahin hoti thi.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ فَرُّوخَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، قَالَ:" رَأَيْتُ رَجُلًا دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَقَامَ، فَصَلَّى، فَكَانَ إِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ، كَبَّرَ، وَإِذَا وَضَعَ رَأْسَهُ، كَبَّرَ، وَإِذَا مَا نَهَضَ مِنَ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ، كَبَّرَ، فَأَنْكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ، فَأَتَيْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: لَا أُمَّ لَكَ، أَوَلَيْسَ تِلْكَ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟".
