The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3115
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once, while delivering a sermon, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When a Muhrim cannot find an Izar (waist-wrapper) to tie below his navel, he should wear trousers. And if he cannot find shoes, he should wear socks."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے خطبہ دیتے ہوئے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جب محرم کو نیچے باندھنے کے لئے تہبند نہ ملے تو اسے شلوار پہن لینی چاہئے، اور اگر جوتی نہ ملے تو موزے پہن لینے چاہئیں۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne khutba dete huye irshad farmaya: “Jab mehram ko niche bandhne ke liye tahband na mile to use shalwar pehan leni chahie, aur agar jooti na mile to moze pehan lene chahiyen.”
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ . وَرَوْحٌ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا الشَّعْثَاءِ أخْبَرَهُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ، يَقُولُ:" مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ إِزَارًا، وَوَجَدَ سَرَاوِيلَ، فَلْيَلْبَسْهَا، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ، وَوَجَدَ خُفَّيْنِ، فَلْيَلْبَسْهُمَا".
