The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3210
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that on the day of 'Arafah, doubt arose in the minds of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) regarding the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) observing a fast. So, Sayyida Umm al-Fadl (may Allah be pleased with her) sent a glass of milk to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) drank it (and the doubt of the Companions was cleared).

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ عرفہ کے دن صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم کو نبی ﷺ کے روزے کے حوالے سے شک پیدا ہوا تو سیدہ ام الفضل رضی اللہ عنہا نے نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں دودھ بھجوا دیا، نبی ﷺ نے اسے نوش فرما لیا (اور صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم کا شک دور ہوگیا)۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Arafah ke din Sahaba kiram (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke roze ke hawale se shak paida hua to Sayyida Ummul Fazl ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein doodh bhejwa diya, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne use nosh farma liya (aur Sahaba kiram (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ka shak door hogaya).
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى التَّوْءَمَةِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ " أَنَّهُمْ تَمَارَوْا فِي صَوْمِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ، فَأَرْسَلَتْ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِلَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَ".
