The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3321
Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the verse “You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind...” [Al-Imran: 110] refers to those who migrated with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to Madinah.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ «﴿كُنْتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ . . . . .﴾ [آل عمران: 110] » ”تم بہترین امت ہو جو لوگوں کے لئے پیدا کی گئی ہے . . . . .“ والی آیت کا مصداق وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ مدینہ منورہ کی طرف ہجرت کی تھی۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas Razi Allah Anhuma farmate hain ki "(kuntum khaira ummatin ukhrijat lil nas....)[Al Imran 110]" "Tum behtarin ummat ho jo logon ke lye paida ki gayi hai...." wali ayat ka misdaq wo log hain jinhon ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath Madina Munawwara ki taraf hijrat ki thi.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ كُنْتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ سورة آل عمران آية 110، قَالَ:" هُمْ الَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ مَكَّةَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ".
