The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3457
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a slave of Banu Bayadah cupped the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave him one and a half mudd of wheat as wages. If this wage had been forbidden, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would never have given it. And he spoke to his masters in this regard, so they reduced the amount somewhat.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کو بنو بیاضہ کے ایک غلام نے سینگی لگائی، نبی ﷺ نے اسے ڈیڑھ مد گندم بطور اجرت کے عطا فرمائی، اگر یہ اجرت حرام ہوتی تو نبی ﷺ اسے کبھی نہ دیتے، اور اس کے آقاؤں سے اس سلسلے میں بات کی چنانچہ انہوں نے اس سے کچھ مقدار کو کم کر دیا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko Banu Bayadah ke ek ghulam ne seongi lagai, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne usay ded mud gandum ba'taur ujrat ke ata farmayi, agar yeh ujrat haram hoti to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) usay kabhi na dete, aur uske aqayon se is silsile mein baat ki chunancha unhon ne us se kuch miqdar ko kam kar diya.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ:" حَجَمَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَبْدٌ لِبَنِي بَيَاضَةَ، وَأَعْطَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَجْرَهُ، وَلَوْ كَانَ حَرَامًا لَمْ يُعْطِهِ"، قَالَ: وَأَمَرَ مَوَالِيَهُ أَنْ يُخَفِّفُوا عَنْهُ بَعْضَ خَرَاجِهِ.
