The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3469
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was the most generous of all people, and he would become even more generous than a strong wind in Ramadan, when he would review the Holy Quran with Gabriel (peace be upon him).

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ تمام انسانوں میں سب سے زیادہ سخی تھے، وہ ہر رمضان میں حضرت جبرئیل علیہ السلام کے ساتھ قرآن کریم کا دور فرماتے تھے، اور تیز چلنے والی ہوا سے بھی زیادہ سخی ہو جاتے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) tamam insano mein sab se zyada sakhi the, woh har Ramzan mein Hazrat Jibril Alaihissalam ke sath Quran Kareem ka daur farmate the, aur tez chalne wali hawa se bhi zyada sakhi ho jate.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ:" كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَجْوَدَ الْبَشَرِ، فَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَدْخُلَ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ، فَيُدَارِسَهُ جِبْرِيلُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَهُوَ أَجْوَدُ مِنَ الرِّيحِ".
