The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3470
Narrated by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), that after the death of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), when Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) entered the Prophet's Mosque, he removed the striped sheet covering the face of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Looking at the Prophet's face, he kissed it and wept.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کے وصال مبارک کے بعد سیدنا ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ جب مسجد نبوی میں داخل ہوئے تو وہاں پہنچ کر انہوں نے نبی ﷺ کے رخ زبیا سے دھاری دار چادر کو ہٹایا جو نبی ﷺ پر ڈال دی گئی تھی، اور رخ انور کو دیکھتے ہی اس پر جھک کر اسے بوسے دینے لگے۔
Sayyidaana Ibn Abbas Raziallahu Anhuma se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke wisal mubarak ke baad Sayyidaana Abu Bakr Siddiq Raziallahu Anhu jab Masjid Nabvi mein daakhil hue to wahan pahunch kar unhon ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke rukh zeba se dhari daar chaadar ko hataya jo Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) par daal di gayi thi, aur rukh anwar ko dekhte hi us par jhuk kar use bose dene lage.
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ: كَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يُحَدِّثُ" أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ كَشَفَ عَنْ وَجْهِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مَيِّتٌ بُرْدَ حِبَرَةٍ كَانَ مُسَجًّى عَلَيْهِ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَى وَجْهِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ أَكَبَّ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَبَّلَهُ".
