Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 401
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “A Muharram should neither marry himself nor should he give a woman in marriage, nor should he convey a marriage proposal."

سیدنا عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ محرم نہ خود نکاح کرے اور نہ کسی کا نکاح کروائے، بلکہ پیغام نکاح بھی نہ بھیجے۔
Sayyidina Usman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai keh Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya keh muharram na khud nikah kare aur na kisi ka nikah karwaye, balkeh paigham nikah bhi na bheje.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" الْمُحْرِمُ لَا يَنْكِحُ، وَلَا يُنْكِحُ، وَلَا يَخْطُبُ".
