Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4285
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) which deed is most beloved in the sight of Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "Offering prayer on time, good treatment of parents, and striving in the way of Allah."

سیدنا ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے نبی ﷺ سے یہ سوال پوچھا کہ بارگاہ الٰہی میں سب سے زیادہ پسندیدہ عمل کون سا ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اپنے وقت پر نماز پڑھنا، والدین کے ساتھ حسن سلوک، اللہ کے راستے میں جہاد۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Masood Raziallahu Anhu farmate hain keh aik martaba maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se yeh sawal poocha keh bargah ilahi mein sab se ziada pasandida amal kaun sa hai? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Apne waqt par namaz parhna, waldain ke sath husn salook, Allah ke raste mein jihad.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قُلْتُ: أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ:" الصَّلَوَاتُ لِوَقْتِهَا، وَبِرُّ الْوَالِدَيْنِ، وَالْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ".
